Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The location was great, very close to Magic Mountain. Despite booking.com completely failing to notify the hotel about a date change request made two weeks prior, the man at the customer service desk helpfully provided their support number, gave me advice on how to fix it, waited for me to make the call to the third party, and immediately got us into our accommodations when the call was over. The Marriott itself gets 5 stars for customer service, booking.com gets zero.
Negative: The AC unit was very effective, but very loud when it turned on and off at night so I did wake up several times throughout the night. My main complaint is not with the hotel, but with booking.com itself, who failed to notify the hotel that I had input a change date request, despite sending me two confirmation emails that everything was changed and settled. I'm not sure if this review is being posted just for the hotel or also for booking.com, but if it's just for the hotel, ignore all this bit and just read the AC part.
Summary: Close to Magic Mountain, not wildly expensive, good customer service
